In Human Design, if you have the Solar Plexus centre defined (coloured in) - your Authority for decision making, is an emotional one. You need to ride the emotional wave in its entirety before coming to a conclusion or finding ‘clarity’ around a decision. 

One of the biggest breakthroughs I had in my life was understanding the type of intuition, or Authority, that I am designed to honour and listen to. For anyone else that also has an Emotional Authority – this post is for you.
(50% of the population have emotional definition in Human Design, so even if not you – likely people you love are running on these waves and increasing our awareness of them can help prevent unhealthy patterns or expectations.)

With an Emotional Authority, we are governed by a motorised wave of emotion (or a few) who flavours all your decisions in life - work WITH your wave; work WITH your life. Learning about its mechanics will evolve you from running unhealthy patterns and stories in relationships. Emotional mastery for us is KEY.

If this is defined in your chart, you will see at least one defined Channel attached to it. Each Channel can be categorised into one of 3 main types of Circuitry; Individual, Tribal or Collective – and I’ve used colour in the below illustration to highlight this.

Broad themes of moodiness, melancholy and passion. Usually quite even keel with small bursts of ups and downs, really gotta be “in the mood” for things.

39-55 Channel of Emoting • Provoke emotions in others, resonate with same mood. This is a Channel of romance.

22-12 Channel of Openness • Creative emotional expression, undeniable chart and emotional impact on others. This is a Channel of passion.

TRIBAL WAVES
All About Needs

Broad themes of emotional regulation through physical touch, intimacy and connection. Rachets up and crashes when needs are not communicated in the moment. Clarity comes after the crash.

19-49 Channel of Synthesis • All about balancing tribal needs with personal principles. Balancing relationships. This is a Channel of independence.

37-40 Channel of Community • Born to be a part of a community. Relationships built on mutual love, support and fairness. This is a Channel of community.

41-30 Channel of Recognition • Driven to experience life through emotions. Share your emotions and dreams with others to awaken them. This is a Channel of daring.

36-35 Channel of Transitoriness • Highly capable, jill of all trades – here to be a generalist. Love the adventure of life and its experiences. This is a Channel of experience.
