MY JOURNEY WITH AN OPEN G-CENTRE

MY JOURNEY WITH AN OPEN G-CENTRE
In Human Design, when a centre is open or undefined – it means we do not have consistent energy or expression from that centre. So, having an undefined or open G-Centre (which is the centre of identity, love and life direction) is like being an ever-evolving environmental gauge.
If I feel ‘at home’ somewhere - then it's the right place for me.
If I can deeply relate to an aspect in the common archetypes found in that space - I am in the right place for now.
If I can still go home and feel like I am much more than my work, my friends, my family, my community - then I am in the right place.
Open G's can consume and amplify the others.
You can easily lose who you are to your closest relationships; often leading to an overwhelming impulse to suddenly "get out" of that dynamic. The grass appears greener elsewhere. This can be tough on our partners and friends, and our workplaces. The jumping around, the discontentment.
It is an Open/Undefined G's job to remember.. WE ARE NEVER ONE FIXED WAY.
We will always have inconsistency in our feelings of love (towards self, others, universe), of our direction in life (we might have a few different interests) and our identities too (we might find it hard to "define" our roles and/or stick to them).
Open/Undefined G's can be the most eclectic cats you know.
Down for whatever.
For example – I'm much more open to trying new things, experimenting with fashion and embracing new environments – seeing bands I've never heard of or going somewhere new and exciting, purely for the "vibes" of it. If it feels like it's in my wheelhouse and it's an aspect of me I know I'd like to meet – I'll do it.
Whereas, I find that most of my fixed G friends aren't naturally like that. They like what they like, so it's usually me who goes more with the flow in that sense. This is a generalisation of course, but I find that this a common marker of this type of dynamic.
Open/Undefined G folk really thrive being Chameleons. Undefinable. Unrelatable to certain demographics. Total kooks! We are more likely to live extremely colourful lives that don't follow any typical formulas.
On Tuesday she's at pole dancing, on Wednesday she's reading about the occult, Thursday she's a soccer mum, Friday is for visiting her favourite tree and on the weekend she's none of those things.
We need anchors around us to remind us of who we are, and what we like - sometimes it feels as if we could just float away into nothingness because we cannot be defined.
