Welcome back to lesson two of my three-part series, helping you decipher the magick encoded within your Astrology (and Human Design) chart, and the charts of those you love.

If you missed it, you can jump back to lesson one on the Cosmological Bodies, where I broke down what each of the planets, asteroids and goddesses represent in your birth chart.

For now, we move onto the Zodiac Signs (or constellations) these planets position themselves within as they orbit around our galaxy, and the energies each of them carry.

It may help to view the signs as a journey, The Fools Journey, from the newly incarnated youth of Aries – through to the esoteric wisdoms of Pisces.
The Fool begins with their focus on self – who am I? Then on their resources and safety within the world. Their intellect. Their family. Their joy. Their Service. Their relationships. Their rebirth. Their knowledge. Their reputation. Their community. Their spirituality.

Each sign has it’s opposing, or opposite, sign which is often called their “Sister Sign” – sister signs typically reference similar themes from a different, or opposite, point of view.
Where Aries centres the self, Libra centre the other – uncovering ourself vs exploring our relationships. Gemini centres intellect, Sagittarius centres knowledge – book smart vs lived experience.

ALL are necessary themes for The Fool to experience on his journey, ALL are present within our charts (this will make more sense when we look at The Houses next) – but understanding the most prominent themes within our charts and which planets and flavoured by which signs, helps us to understand who we are, and why we do what we do.

Integrated :: acute sensitivities to encourage other to feel safe when vulnerable

Integrated :: use their sage wisdom and heightened awareness to guide others to discover their own utopian earth

For example, if we know that Mars represents how we take action, what we desire and our approach to aggression – and Virgo is an analytical and attentive earth sign – we can ascertain that someone born with natal Mars in Virgo desires to be of service to those they love, they’re likely very considered in their actions and potentially over-critical of themselves, or others – believing that the way they do things is best.
