The ocean and it's kin inhabits over 70% of Earths surface. It is a key contributor to the overall health and wellbeing of the entire planet and all life on it; here to work alongside life on land to provide us (all animals) with oxygen (did you know the ocean contributes to over 50% of our oxygen?); climate regulation, food and resources and maintaining healthy biodiverse landscape for us all to survive and thrive in.
This talisman is a homage to the ocean and her kin; with whom we have all enjoyed her magic and medicine from at some point in our lives; both directly or indirectly.
The ocean is an extremely diverse, mysterious and magical place; home to many amazing and important creatures who call her home.
The design features some of our favourite oceanic lifeforms - the shark, turtle and manta ray, as well as coral and sea grasses and nautilus shell. Each one of these capture specific symbolism linked back to themes of instinct, longevity, sensitivity, stages and phases of life here on earth. Each one carry a deep purpose, presence and play an imperative role in their environments - much like all life forms.
Wear this talisman as a reminder of the magic, mystery and medicine of the Ocean and her kin; as a sign of solidarity with the Ocean and as a pledge to always do more to protect and co-exist with her and her kin.
