As a global gatekeeper to universal truths - Eagle uses his keen eyesight to spot his prey; and can do so even when said prey is hiding; a strong metaphor for our ability to see and know beyond our apparent physical reality to and to trust that we can always soar above any situation, as well as take many unsuccessful attempts to try and better understand and accept it.
