PIG // Animal Messenger

Pigs are highly adaptable, able to learn new skills and acclimatise to new environments and situations with ease. With few natural predators thanks to their ability to reproduce quickly and the fact that they can eat just about anything, pigs manage to align with abundance and positive outcomes, no matter what their surroundings are, inviting us to find the abundance that is already bountiful into your life.
One of the most intelligent animals known to humans, pigs are able to solve problems with ease. They also have more physical abilities than we give them credit for including swimming, fast running and regulating their body temperature using water and mud.
Mothers form social groups with other females and their young while the males are usually solitary except for mating. In their communities pigs play together, cooperate towards a common goal and communicate using actions as well as noises.
Infamous for being “dirty” pigs are actually quite clean and tidy animals. They keep clean nests and allocate specific areas in which to go to the toilet. A pig is unable to sweat, therefore it is in their nature to cool off in water (or mud!).
The pig teaches us that when we take away the feeling of being threatened, we can automatically see and embrace the abundance of all the things we cherish in life.
If Pig has entered your field recently, the key questions to ask yourself what it means specific to you are:
1. What was I doing / thinking / feeling at the time of the encounter?
2. How did seeing this messenger make me feel?
3. What was the animal doing and what was significant about it specifically?
4. Can you see how any of these things relate to the meaning above?
What is your own mythic tale you can weave to get your own beautiful message from this guide?
Journal and contemplate with these prompts to uncover your own personalised meaning and symbolism.
